Why two and a half

A small shop that will be heated on and off through the winter. The steep 6/12 roof puts a lot of the envelope overhead, where warm air collects and condensation on a cold metal deck is the first thing an owner notices. Two and a half inches lands the assembly at R-18.5, comfortably past the vapor-retarder threshold on the roof deck, and at 88% heat-loss reduction on the hot-box curve, without paying for the fourth and fifth inches that would not change how the building feels.

Every FoamGuard quote is a data sheet. Wall, gable and roof areas measured on site, the foam product named, the thickness and the R-value it yields stated, and a fixed price. If a number on the sheet does not match what you remember from the walkthrough, we fix the sheet before anyone picks up a spray gun.

R-values are nominal manufacturer values (aged, ASTM C518) as quoted on the data sheet, not a guarantee of energy savings. Customer names withheld.
